[Briefing]
Our chess design was born from a minimal conservative idea: to create a essential set that preserves the identity of each piece.

Inspired by the architectural elegance of Le Corbusier’s chess design, we noticed a gap—while his approach was visually striking, it strayed too far from the traditional forms that make chess instantly recognizable. Our goal was to strike a balance. We reimagined the classic shapes of the knight, king, and other pieces, distilling them into clean, modern lines while ensuring they remain unmistakably chess.

For organizational and tactile reasons, magnets are embedded in the middle of each square. Mixed media showcasing of a LP or other material is possible. The result is a set that honors the game’s heritage while embracing a bold, architectural aesthetic—a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation.
